What's In My Furry Bag?!

First off, this awesome bag (found here) is something I bought because of Lauryn from The Skinny Confidential blog (a.k.a. the bible). I should seriously start making a f@*king master list of all the things I've bought because of her. It would be super embarrassing. Not kidding. #laurynmademedoit

Speaking of embarrassing, the first thing I carry in my bag is another recommendation I bought because of Lauryn. I'm absolutely ADORING this on-the-go powder sunscreen from Colorscience. It has a built in brush which makes it great for touching up throughout the day. Lauryn is a self-proclaimed "sunscreen psycho" and she's turning me over to the dark side (...or the pale side?)
previous sun worshipper turned shade babe. (Loving this Alba sunscreen as well)

Anyway, moving on to my wallet/agenda. I'm the kind of person that absolutely needs to write things down and be able to see my entire week in front of me to remember what I have to do. I bought my Louis Vuitton agenda PM pre-loved from eBay. I really want to get my initials heat stamped above the logo but just haven't gotten around to it yet (also, sort of intimidated by the LV store...anyone else?!)
What I love about this is that it has three credit card slots so I can also use it as my wallet. I'm notorious for carrying more than I need to, so anything that can save space, I'm all about.

And of course, the ray ban sunnies are a must. What do you guys keep in your purse? I'm dying to know!!!

Winter Blues

 {essentials: Skinny tiramisu latte x Furry bag}

My friend and I were missing our favorite hiking spot something terrible recently. We made plans to take a trip up there today so I could shoot some film for my photography class. Of course, living on the east coast in the winter time, we got hit with a TON of snow!

{This is what we were working with...}

It made for some pretty dope photos BUTTTT I'm not gonna lie...it got pretty messy...and red nosey-ugly.

 {vest- J. Crew Factory; Flannel- Forever 21}

 This is my "I'm pretending to love life even though it's 4 degrees outside and I'm not wearing a coat" pose. #dedicated

{Furry bag- The Native Fox for Eluxe; pants- J. Crew}

I swear this is not a Starbucks ad...

 {Hat- Forever 21; Shoes- L.L. Bean}

Although, I would be happy to accept a sponsorship *ehem* ;)

New Season, New Room...

Spring is here which means I have an excuse to spend a little more money than I should at Home Goods...right? I love adding little touches to revamp my room with the changing seasons. For spring, I went a little overboard but I really needed a fresh space to help me out of that winter slump.

To start, I switched my furniture around (as I'm always doing)...
I don't have any pictures of my room before but I had my bed pushed up against the wall with the window (to the right). It was against the radiator so there was a little extra room on the side where I could stuff my throw pillows when I wasn't using them...the problem with this was since my pillows were out of sight...I never made my bed! It was driving me crazy, as I'm typically a pretty neat and tidy person. I finally moved my bed back into the middle of my room like I originally had it when I first moved in. I love it so much better like this now.
I moved my nightstand to the side of the bed where I use the under bed drawers for storage as opposed to everyday clothes like on the left side drawers. That was another huge problem, I was always having to move my nightstand out of the way whenever I needed underwear or pajamas! SOOO inconvenient.

One day I was randomly looking at Home Good's instagram and came across this gorgeous looking bed from @devonrachel.
Looks eerily familiar right?! I think I did an amazing job duplicating this look for a much more budget friendly price. ONE of her euro shams costs $66. And the duvet cover? $185! I got a pack of 2 euro shams on sale for $40 and my duvet cover was on sale for $100 but I had a coupon for $25 off so in total I spent $115 for everything. I know it doesn't look quite as nice (I haven't mastered the art of taking blog photos) but I promise it looks amazing in person! And for the price, you can't beat it!!!

I love the simplicity of this black border yet it still has that touch of chic-ness that Devon's duvet has.

Now onto what I know you've been waiting for...
These amazing pillows I scored at Home Goods which is also where Devon found hers! (I must admit though, I do like Devon's a lot more...like a lot a lot...but I'll have to settle...) They're such a fun pop of color for spring and summer and I'm seriously obsessed.

The black and white pillow I found on sale at Target for $11! (Can you tell I like a good sale? ;))

But of course it wouldn't be my bed without a warm and fuzzy throw blanket, pillow pets, and a sneaky kitty :D

Could I have closed my scary closet door to take pictures? Yes. Did I? No. (I'm still learning!)

My Dream Christmas Lust List (so far...)

1. SHOES! To start, I have a bit of a shoe fetish. Always have, always will. Both of these pairs are by Guess. The brown studded boots, on the left, are in the "Esperanza Studded" style and I am obsessed. I always fall weak for western style boots. It must be the country girl deep down inside of me ;). And as you can tell, I'm very much in favor of gold detailing, so the gold studs on these just make them so much better. And the same goes for the "Hitzo" black sneaker wedges to it's right. All the gold detailing make this shoe SUPER killer. I've never been too keen on the whole "sneaker wedge" trend and I know it's a tad bit late but they haven't gone out of style just yet! And this cute pair has just the right amount of edge mixed with a dash of diva. The best part about both of these gold studded beauties is that they're both on sale! (Bloomingdales & Macy's)

2. Watches. Both of the watches pictured are by Marc Jacobs. The regular gold one of the left is the "Henry" Round Chronograph watch. I've had my eye on this one for definitely over a year now. I don't think I'm actually going to ask for it for Christmas but it's always been on my list, simply because it's so gorgeous and well...simple. On the top right is the "Rue The Cat Dinky Watch." I saw this while browsing online the other day and fell in love. It literally has my name written all over it. Luckily, Urban Outfitters sells a very similar one with a black band for a fraction of the price. I may just have to treat myself to the UO one instead :)

3. Jewelry: I think that Michael Kors necklace and those Kate Spade earrings speak for themselves. So gorgeous.

4. And last but not least is another item that I don't plan on actually asking for but is just something that is on my "list for later" (aka when I have a good paying job and can afford it myself.) This is the Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Fran Tote in the color "warm zinc". I'm not sure why but I'm dying for an MJ purse in this color and I really love this classic style. One day...

In Case You've Been Wondering...

This is what I decided to go for with my over the bed decor. If you remember from my last post, I couldn't decide on what colors to choose for a tassel garland that I'd found on Etsy. I had already had these printed Instagram photos from a website called prinstagram so I decided to save myself some money and hang them above my bed instead. I purchased the hemp string, clothes pins, and flowers from Michaels, all for probably about ten dollars. I absolutely adore the way this looks and it even inspired some of my friends to do the same with their pictures.

I just bought some baby pink clothes pins that are the same size. I'm trying to decide whether or not to use them. I feel like they might be a little too much. Either way, I really like the changes I've made to the room.

(Pillow and covers all from Home Goods with the exception of the pink fuzzy pillow, which is from TJ Maxx. Duvet Cover is from Ikea.)

Lust List #1

I've decided I really want to give blogging a shot and these are my favorite things to see on them so here it goes...

1. I just was flipping through the new Ulta catalog, not even an hour ago, which was what inspired me to do this. These were the first things to catch my eye. I've never tried the Urban Decay lip liners but I imagine the formula must be pretty good after using and loving their 24/7 eye liners. From left to right, these are all new colors called Classic Red, Turn On, Obsessed, Naked 2, and Ozone. Ozone is the one that definitely interests me the most. This is a CLEAR lip liner! Has anyone ever heard of this before or are you just as amazed as I am? Well anyway, this is my first time hearing of any such thing so it's safe to say that when I do get around to picking these up, that will be the first color I grab.

2. The second product to grab my attention was one that fell right out of the catalog. Literally. Justin Bieber's NEW fragrance "The Key." First of all, is the packaging not to die? I've never been a fan of any of his other perfumes but after smelling this one, I knew I had to have it. And thus, my perfume obsession grows.

3. Essie's Fall 2013 nail polish collection just launched and when I saw it, two stood out to me as absolute must-haves. On the left is a beautiful multi-chrome looking color called "For The Twill Of It" and on the right is a gorgeous deep navy blue called "After School Boy Blazer." Strange name but they both have me amped for fall nail fashion ;)

4. Here is something that I will forever only be lusting after. A Penny Board. I don't live in an area with the flattest terrain therefore I wouldn't have much place to practice. And knowing me I would fall of every time I stepped on. But the idea is nice and they're just so darn trendy right now! But for the price, I would just never be able to justify spending it. Maybe I'll try out one of those Target knock-offs, but for now it will stay right here on this screen.

5. Now this pretty Ted Baker baby is something I've been eyeing for quite some time. I've always wanted one of those gorgeous wash bags with the bows and this hot pink one is right up my alley. Unfortunately, this color is all sold out online so if I ever do decide to get it, I'll have to make a trip to 5th ave. and FAST!

6. Alas, we have reached the last product on my list. And one that has been there for a very long time. The iPad mini. I recently (extremely IMPULSIVELY) bought a cute, pink, Nintendo 3DS XL. A whopping 200 dollars before tax. I bought Animal Crossing too which brought my final payment up to 250 dollars. I felt ridiculously guilty after and debated returning it. Today, my roommate texted me that her brother gave her a Wii that was also compatible game cube games! Um, WHAT?! So I can play animal crossing on the Wii now?!
You're probably wondering what any of this has to do with the iPad. Well, I've decided that I HAVE to return the stupid 3DS (that I would've gotten bored of after a week even when I was 13) and that instead, I'll spend my money on a big girl toy. I've wanted an iPad for so long that the money is a lot more justifiable than something I decided on overnight.

Well, that's all folks! If you've tried anything I've mentioned please let me know what you think and if I should get it! :)
